The start of the second week

ok so Monday is here again, Side effects I notice are:-

Ringing of the ears
Greasy skin
Feeling like a coiled spring
Emotionless
Not with it
Constipation

I still don’t have normal motivation but I think this is what I am going to be use too for the whole of the treatment, although I am able to get out and do things, everything feels like a chore.

I’ve had trouble sleeping at night yesterday and tonight it seems.

Tuesday (tomorrow) I’m in hospital from late afternoon for more chemo treatment.

9 Weeks - The end of treatment....i hope!

It's been 9 weeks and my final chemo treatment was nearly a week ago.  Its nice to feel a bit of normality again, in terms of how you feel in yourself.  I'm up and about and taking every day as it comes, i feel i am able to do more and get about to do things like going out to eat or just taking a walk somewhere (which i highly recommend). I no longer need to take any drugs of any sort, and my body will start to fix itself slowly and be how i was before i started the chemo without the enlarged lymph node.  I had a CT scan a week ago so i'm now waiting for an appointment for the results...fingers crossed the treatment has worked.  Side effect at the moment are ringing in the ears, general lethargicness at times and sores on my hands which are like blisters. I will give an update once i have my results back.

Forth Day

The forth day, had my last set of chemo for the week, next time I’m in will be on Tuesday afternoon for one Shot then home again until the week after.  Feeling better then yesterday, I only had one bag of chemo last night, not sure if it’s because I only had the one bag or if it’s because I’m going home.  Only things I can say at the moment is that constipation is still with me, have taken more pills for it yesterday night and a another pill of something else last night, I have passed a few stools but nothing satisfactory, so hopefully today I can get prescribed something a bit stronger to get things moving. The hiccups come and go but not as bad as yesterday.....it’s only 8am. Was discharged at 12pm, after an ultrasound scan in my other working testicle which is normal. I had this done as a precaution to make sure it hadn’t spread there as I have been getting a strange burning sensation from that area. Start of the 8th week-End of my last 3day hospital Chemo

So the end of the last week was my last three days in hospital, and although it was tough I had a sense of relief knowing that I am finely seeing the woods through the trees! The third lot hasn’t been as tough mentally but I have felt a lot more tired, sick, bloated, acid stomach and more hair has thinned out. It’s an absolute strange sensation what your body goes through, and although I have two more tops up left which are this week and next, I’m hoping that when I have my scan there is a positive outcome and this has worked! I will keep updating the blog still and if anyone has any questions so far please feel free to message me in the comments and I will come back to you.
